Game shows have been here since the late 1930s, the first of which was entitled the “Spelling Bee”. Many of the earlier gameshows revolved around knowledge and IQ, like games such as Jeopardy.
Over time, game shows diverged into a variety of gimmicks to keep up with popular media, following the breakthrough success of Dr. IQ. During the early 1960s, more and more game shows started to prop up, like Password and The Match Game.
